Last Friday, we did a "palabunutan".
I have a running gameplan and gimmick on how to extend family dinner time.
You see, I noticed that we have been spending less and less time over dinner. (I wrote a post on how I miss our extended family dinner!) We rush through dinner, talk less, go upstairs into our respective rooms, and get busy on our individual lives.
This has to stop!
So last Friday we had our palabunutan. Sam was our guest “taga bunot”. The person he picked will choose where or what we’ll have for the weekend dinner. I figured that if we serve what the kids love, they’ll linger longer at the dining table.
It was Kuya Marc’s turn to decide. Deep inside, I was excited! Kuya Marc is more adventurous when it comes to food. He’ll pick a new resto to try!
Ngek! He wanted to stay home and have home cooked mechado from Adam’s! This was not possible this weekend so we asked Mig to decide instead.
Anyway, I love Shakey’s pizza! However, I’m on Day 2 of my Kefir diet.
The kids will surely enjoy their manager’s choice pizza, mojos, spaghetti, and friend chicken while I enjoy my veggies! What is more important is I am starting to have extended dinner time again!
PS:
This is my 50th blog post and I hope you are enjoying them.
Awesome Abundance is my way of keeping Hubby updated about our family. I wanted to make sure that he does not miss the "teenager days" of our kids. Despite the fact that he now works abroad, I wanted him to continue to play a major role in our kids' lives and remain an integral part of our family.
I hope to achieve that in my next 50 posts.
More than ever, I hope that my next posts will be constant reminders for all of us to SEE, ENJOY and BE GRATEFUL for the awesome abundance around us.
May you enjoy Awesome Abundance,
Jones
